Built in 1815 as a sugar plantation Golden Rock now features eight cottages, each with Bamboo King or Twin-sized four poster beds, private bathroom & large porch, with magnificent views overlooking the sea. The famous 1815 Sugar Mill is for honeymooners or families of four (please reserve this as early as possible as there is only one).

Climb Nevis Peak (3,232ft - 1070m) that towers above the Inn. Glimpse the antics of the shy, wild vervet monkeys from your cottage and as you climb in the rainforest. When the mango trees are in season you will definitely see the monkeys rustling in the tree leaves as they try to reach the ripe ones.

Sport fishing, sailing, SCUBA diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, sea-kayaking horse back riding and two golf courses (the small Jones Estate Executive or the Four Seasons 18-hole Championship Course) are readily available. You can even soak your sore muscles in a hot mineral bath built back in 1778.

Return to Golden Rock at the end of the day with dinner by candlelight, listen to the sounds of tree frogs and crickets and dance to David Freeman's unique string band "The Honey Bees" on Saturday night. Every day is different, relaxing and often an adventure.
