Gros Piton, one of a pair of pitons that are a symbol of St. Lucia. This volcanic peak rises to a height of 2,619ft.

St. Lucia's capital, Castries, was named after a French Minister of the Marine, the Marechal de Castries. Cruise ships dock on the north side of the harbour next to Point Seraphine, a duty free shopping centre and also home to the St. Lucia Tourist Board who provide current information on hotels and events.

Soufriere itself is a town of clapboard houses with wooden balconies and was the first settlment on the island. It also boasts the world's only drive-in volcano.

Maria Islands Nature Reserve. Two sister islands located a short boat ride from mainland St. Lucia, with a small secluded white sand beach, boasts two endemic species and thousands of migratory birds who visit the islands every year between May and August to nest.

Grand Anse Beach on St. Lucia's east coast is the spot for turtle watching.

Home of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, Pigeon Island is one of the Caribbean's most historic landmarks and certainly one of the most beautiful spots in St. Lucia.

Along with the world's only drive in volcano, La Soufriere, and the Diamond mineral baths the sulphur springs is another popular stopping spot for visitors to St. Lucia.

Anse La Raye fish fry. On a Friday evening, the village of Anse-La-Raye located on the west coast of St. Lucia, comes alive as the villagers prepare a St. Lucian seafood extravaganza, which includes local delicacies such as lobster, Lambi, Octopus, and a variety of other fish.

Drop-in beach park with restrooms and restaurant facilities. Just a short distance from Morne Le Blanc. Nearby is the opportunity to see how local fishing nets are made.

Rodney Bay, The most popular area in St. Lucia with a marina, restaurants, hotels and the islands liveliest beach, Reduit Beach.

Marigot Bay, famous for its role in the film Doctor Doolittle, is one of the prettiest bays in St. Lucia.
