Snorkelling Exploresub Barbados offers afternoon snorkelling trips to the Carlise Bay Marine Park. The dive site contains four wrecks, The Berwyn, the Eillion, the Ce-Trek and the Wolf (or Fox), and is one of Barbados' premier dive sites, you can find more fish here than anywhere else in Barbados. The Berwyn, a 60' French tug sunk by her crew in 1919 after being shot by a German U-Boat, lies in 20' of water and reaches to within 10' of the surface. The extensive corals and fish life that have made the Berwyn their home makes this Barbados' best snorkelling site. The afternoon trip starts with a dive brief for the divers and snorkellers. The boat leaves at 2:30pm and takes a leisurely cruise along the south coast to Carlsie Bay. On arrival the boat will tie up to one of the Marine Parks permanent moorings. These are within a few feet of the Berwyn allowing you to use all your energy for relaxing. If you have any bread left over from your lunch remember to bring it with you, the fish will love you. The boat will remain in Carlise Bay for at least an hour allowing you plenty of time to explore further should you wish to. On your return to Exploresub there is a hot water shower available for your use.
