REGIONAL SALES EXECUTIVE
Summary:
Skyviews Inc., a Barbados-based regional distributor of tourist maps and guides and provider of digital mapping services, is looking to recruit a Regional Sales Executive. The role involves prospecting, business development, lead generation, account management, client presentations, forecasting, reporting and distribution.
Reports to:
General Manager
Principal Duties:
- Facilitates advertising sales for the creation of annual island tourist map and guides, website and mobile app, by building strong relationships with potential and existing clients within the Caribbean and internationally
- Renews and upgrades existing client print and web packages
- Generates new business from building leads and converting them to new business
- Develops consistent and effective distribution channels for maps
- Creates on-island partnerships with Tourist Boards, Hotel Associations, Chambers of Commerce, existing publications and key websites
- Continues to develop strategies to expand the customer base and to identify new business opportunities for maps, guides, website & mobile application
- Identifies areas for business growth, products, partnerships, distribution channels
- Ensures that Skyviews Inc. is professionally represented and all Skyviews’ products are sold in an ethical and responsible manner
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has effectively operated as a Sales Executive for 2-5 years
- Has an appreciation for the Caribbean Tourism Industry
- Is self-motivated
- Has a proven track-record of hitting and surpassing targets
- Is able to travel regularly and adapt to different cultures/norms
- Has high-level experience in negotiating with clients and closing sales
Internal Relationships:
- Maintains strong, regular working relationship with key members of the team including Graphics, Admin/Operations and Accounts
External Relationships:
- Builds strong partnerships with clients on islands
- Identifies potential B2B opportunities
- Maintains strong relationships with senior-level management of key organizations on-island
Special Considerations:
- Successful Candidate will be conducting sales on 5-7 Caribbean islands
- This position requires that the Candidate spends time on each island, travelling frequently across the Caribbean
- Candidate must possess strong time management skills as this position requires the maintenance of regular travel schedule and scheduling of meetings on island with clients
- Demonstrates a high level of accountability
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management would be an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Use of Internet & Search Engines
- Understanding of Adobe Photoshop and basic graphic requirements (RGB, CMYK, DPI)
- Strong sales skills – achievement of targets, cold calling, lead generation
- Management of sales cycle – client contact to product delivery
We offer an excellent remuneration package inclusive of base-salary and tiered commission-based incentives based on achievement of sales targets
